In order to support its enhanced range of evacuation systems and immersion
suits, VIKING has been investing in an expanded distribution and service network.
“As a result, we are in a unique position to help ship owners and operators ind
the best choices for their speciic needs,” said Mr Christensen.
The company’s new Global Safety Product Agreement is a centralised safety
equipment purchasing agreement designed to help ship owners who need to
acquire or replace safety equipment in a variety of ports around the world,
and who want to avoid wasting valuable resources and time inding the right
product at the right price.
VIKING aims to solve this problem by enabling ship owners
to ensure vessels have global access to over 50 products to
start with, in pre-determined ports at annually ixed prices,
consistent quality and full compliance.
The agreements include single-point-of-
contract management as well as easily accessible
reports that provide an overview of key
procurement data.
“As a result, ship owners get all the
advantages of centralised procurement with
dependable, local availability,”
