ISSA and Ship Supply NewsArma Marine Services moves forwardGrowth has been so fast for Turkish ship supplier Arma Marine Services, that it hasredesigned its supply chain, combining its headquarters, local warehouse and transit warehouse into one.The company, which was started in 1993, started the process at the end of 2014 and the move was completed earlier this year with all personnel, excluding branch offices, now in one building.Tim van den Bekerom, Sales & Marketing Executive, explained: “The new location has improvedcommunication, quotation speed, competitiveness and quicker, more flexible customs formalities.“Another reason for moving was having one centred loading centre with increased storage, as it now enables Arma to keep up with the growth and also intensify in other sectors, such as cruise and navy catering. Furthermore, Arma continues supplying to several defence, humanitarian aid and airline projects in the region.“Finally, the growth now also allows Arma to cut out the middle-man for even more of its stores, deck, engine, cabinetc, which are now being sourced on a container basis, resulting in a big leap in competitiveness.”Mr van den Bekerom said Arma was offering its partners a service which is ‘Optimised for you’.“To act as a trustworthy ship supplier goes much further than offering tojust supply good quality products. Accordingly, Arma keeps close ties with its customers to understand their exact needs and fulfil that specific request accordingly. All, with the aim of being stronger together and to give vessels the service they deserve.” uShare your newsHave you got some news you would like to share with your fellow ISSA members?
