Norwegian thriller

Celebrating style
A major exhibition celebrating 100 years of cutting-edge fashion, beauty and portrait
photography by British Vogue opens at the National Portrait Gallery in London next
month (February).
Vogue 100: A Century of Style will showcase the range of photography that has been
commissioned by the publication since it was founded in 1916, with over 280 prints
from the Condé Nast archive and international collections to tell the story of one of
the most inluential fashion magazines in the world.
It will include work by many leading 20th century photographers including Cecil
Beaton, David Bailey, Mario Testino and Snowdon.David Hockney, Peter Schlesinger and

Flair for ish
Dutch-born chef Richard Ekkebus places emphasis on seafood from around the
world at Amber in The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Hong Kong, where he
is Culinary Director.
The restaurant receives fresh ish deliveries from markets in Fukuoka and
Hokkaido every day along with specialities from other parts of the world including
blue lobster from France.
But it is not only ish that features on the menu. Other dishes include miyozaki
wagyu beef strip loin chargrilled with seaweed and tomato dust and western
Australian marrons with Iberico pork.
Desserts include the likes of Grand Marnier souflé and fennel sorbet with
lemon custard.
