Ferryl celebrates diamond anniversary
The company was founded in Sweden
in 1955 with Sten Eskil, founder of
the company AB Ferryl, also being the
inventor of the initial core Ferryl products.
Having seen the inadequacy of
products used in the Scandinavian
shipping industry, he saw an opportunity
to tailor products speciically for the
unique conditions at sea. The Ferryl brand
was thus born and the irst green Ferryl
drums entered the market.
A sales ofice in central Malmö was
followed by a new manufacturing facility
in nearby Staffanstorp and this was
continually expanded as the company grew.
In the 1950s and ‘60s, Ferryl products

were introduced to the Scandinavian
shipping leets and in the early 1970s,

ust like ISSA, manufacturer of anticorrosive products the world’s largest tankers were built in shipyards in Malmö,
for the shipping industry, Ferryl, is celebrating its 60th so naturally these vessels and yards became customers of
